4K Android wallpapers

A 4K Android wallpaper is 2160 x 3840 pixels, more than any current phone screen shows. A typical Android phone runs at 1080 x 2400, the Galaxy S25 Ultra at 1440 x 3120 and the Pixel 10 Pro at 1280 x 2856. Each of them gets a file with pixels to spare, so Android scales it down and lines stay clean. Velpaper phone wallpapers are original designs by Carlos Vivero and unlock in the Velpaper app for Android after a short optional ad. Desktop wallpapers further down the page download free from the website. One practical tip: most Android screens are taller than 9:16, so a thin strip on the left and right is trimmed. The spare resolution means you can zoom in or move the image in the wallpaper editor to keep the subject clear of the clock, and it will not turn blurry.

FAQ

What resolution should an Android wallpaper be?

At least your screen resolution, and more is better. Many Android phones are 1080 x 2400, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is 1440 x 3120 and the Pixel 10 Pro is 1280 x 2856. A 2160 x 3840 file is bigger than all of them in both width and height.

Is a 4K wallpaper too big for an Android phone?

No. The phone shrinks it to the screen, which keeps it sharp, and the extra pixels give you room to zoom. Because most Android screens are around 20:9 and the file is 9:16, a narrow strip is trimmed at the sides. Keep the subject near the middle and nothing important is lost.

How do I set a wallpaper on Android?

Long-press an empty spot on the home screen, tap Wallpaper & style, then choose the image from your gallery and apply it to the home screen, lock screen or both. You can also set it right from the Velpaper app. Menu names depend on the maker, so Samsung, Pixel and Xiaomi phones may label them differently.

Are the Android wallpapers free?

Phone wallpapers unlock in the Velpaper app for Android after a short optional ad, then you save the full 2160 x 3840 file. Desktop wallpapers in 4K and 5K download free on velpaper.com. Every design is original, made by Carlos Vivero.
