Galaxy Z Fold 7 Wallpaper: Sizes, Crease and 4K Picks

A Galaxy Z Fold 7 wallpaper has two jobs. Closed, the cover screen is tall and narrow at 1080 × 2520 pixels, so it wants a slim subject in the middle. Open, the main screen is almost square at 1968 × 2184, and the fold runs down its vertical centre line, so it wants a symmetric picture or a subject placed clearly to one side.

The screen numbers come from Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold7 specifications as checked in October 2026. Samsung lists the phone at 158.4 × 143.2 mm open and 158.4 × 72.8 mm folded, and says it ships with One UI 8.

Samsung writes the resolution height first. Both screens are Dynamic AMOLED 2X.

The percentages are calculated from Samsung's resolutions, assuming One UI fills the screen with the image. You can pinch and drag in the editor, so the real crop depends on how you frame it.

The cover screen is narrower than a normal phone

Samsung calls it a 21:9 cover screen. That is taller and slimmer than the 9:16 shape of most phone wallpapers, so a 4K phone original fits its height and trims a strip from the left and right. Towers, single arches and spires survive that crop. Wide landscapes with detail near the edges do not.

The main screen is nearly square, with a crease

Open, the Fold 7 is only a little taller than it is wide. A tall wallpaper keeps its full width there and loses the top and bottom, so the picture you see is the middle band. The crease runs from top to bottom through the centre. You notice it most when a face, a tower or one bright object sits exactly on that line, so choose mirrored compositions where the crease falls between two halves.

Cover screen wallpapers: tall and narrow

For the cover screen, look for one slim subject in the centre with calm space above it for the clock.

Noir Lone Spire is a single white line drawing of a stepped tower under a small moon on pure black, which suits the AMOLED cover screen and its always on look. Twin Slabs puts two pale concrete towers side by side with a thin slit of light between them, narrow enough to lose nothing at the sides. Monolith is a hollow concrete cube under a soft blue sky, with the whole upper half left calm. Arch Enfilade looks down a row of pale blue arches that shrink toward the centre, so the eye goes straight to the middle of the narrow screen.

Main screen wallpapers that work with the crease

These are from the Velpaper Duo set, composed for a book style foldable with a fold down the middle. Each is a tall 4K original at 2160 × 3840, and the main screen shows its middle band at full width.

Twin Arches Sea sets two pastel arches over a calm sea, and the pillar between them lands right where the crease runs. Mirror Gold Glass is mirrored champagne glass, so both halves of the screen carry the same shape. Silver Light Arcs draws two silver curves at the edges of a black screen, leaving the crease in empty black. White Spiral Stairs is an hourglass shaped white staircase, symmetric from left to right and quiet enough for a full grid of apps.

Wide versions for the open phone

The same designs also come as wide 4096 × 2880 files, made for the inner screen of the iPhone Duo. On the Fold 7 they keep their full height and lose about 18% at each side when the screen is held upright, so they make sense if you prefer to frame the picture by its height.

In the wide Twin Arches Sea, each arch gets its own half and the gap still falls on the fold. These wide files unlock after an optional ad in the apps, like the tall ones.

How to set a wallpaper on the Galaxy Z Fold 7

These are the One UI 8 steps. On a Fold, One UI asks which screen a picture is for, and the labels can differ slightly by version and region.

1. Save the original files to the phone. Browser downloads land in the Download album in Gallery.
2. Open Settings, tap Wallpaper and style, then Change wallpapers.
3. Choose Gallery and pick the tall image for the cover screen.
4. When One UI asks where to use it, choose the cover screen and then lock screen, home screen or both. On some versions this appears as a switch between the main screen and the cover screen at the top of the picker.
5. Pinch and drag so the subject sits in the middle with a calm area behind the clock, then tap Done.
6. Open the phone and repeat the steps for the main screen with your symmetric pick.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 wallpaper problems and fixes

• The sides are cut off on the cover screen. The 21:9 screen is narrower than the image. Pick a wallpaper with its subject in the middle, or drag the picture sideways in the editor.
• The main screen shows only a band of the picture. A tall image is filling the near square width. Choose a design whose middle band carries the picture, such as the Duo set above.
• The crease runs through the subject. Shift the image sideways when you frame it, or switch to a mirrored design where the crease falls between two halves.

• The same wallpaper appears on both screens. Set the cover screen with the phone closed and the main screen with it open, and check which screen the picker has selected before you tap Done.
